Curious to see my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Purchases from 2021? A few years ago I really changed how I shopped the sale. And with a global pandemic still influencing how we currently work and play I have yet to return to my old way of “shopping all the things”. You can read more in this older sale post about my new shopping method but I try to focus on gaps in my closet and limit myself to five winning pieces (not including staples). I also try to limit the shoes to five winning pairs! This year I think I’ve done a pretty good so far (yes, I know it’s early). Read on to see everything I added to my cart overnight (and purchased). #EarlyBirdShopper
You can also see my wish list here. Bonus: Nordstrom allows you to Wish List sales items this year allowing you to create your own list!!
My top 3 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases are this Theory Cashmere Dress that I think I can live in all Winter long and also happens to be work appropriate, a new AllSaints sweater (I live in these on the weekend) and this color is beautiful and lastly the Clare V. purse I’ve “almost” bought every year for the last two. #FinallyBoughtIt
I’m adding two new accesories … an initial necklace to replace one that is starting to show it’s age because I wear it all the time and Jenny Bird earings. I love this brand. I love the two-tone mix as well as the simplicity of the design which I think will stand the test of time. #TimelessWins
This year I had a pretty easy time picking my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale top five shoe purchases. Probably because I already own half the shoes in the sale. One pair, however, happens to be the same pair. I couldn’t decide which color I liked better so we will let the “Law of Three” decide when I get them home. Since I will only keep one colorway that will eventually open a slot up for another pair should I find one I can’t resist. #KeepingMyOptionsOpen
I’m looking for a straight leg, lighter wash pair of denim to fill a gap in my closet. Since denim always takes some trial an error (as I am sure you well know) I ordered multiple styles. My biggest problem is I’m tall so anything cropped sometimes looks too short. These are the four I am trying in the hopes of falling in love with one of them. #LetThereBeLove
These are the purchases I make every Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Pajamas, bras, sometimes turtlenecks and workout gear to replace worn out and over used pieces currently in my closet. This year I opted to NOT get the uber popular Moonlight pajamas (I was less than impressed with their ability to last) so I’m trying the Tommy John ones instead. #FingersCrossed
And while I normally stock up on Natori Feathers bras – a year of not wearing mine so much means I don’t need to replace any this year … so I’m adding this fun Free People one to the mix instead. #DateNightAnyone
Running shoes are always in my Anniversary Sale cart as is ALO workout gear. This year I’m opting for two pairs of shorts and a new running skirt. I tried the Yogalicious shorts from Amazon and while I love the style and the price they are NOT going to stand the test of time … I know Sweaty Betty will. #SquatProof
I always use the sale to stock up on beauty items I use on the daily. I mean why pay full price? Summer isn’t over so sunscreen got a restock, this easy to apply eye shadow I can never run out of was an easy add to cart and I was happy to not only see the L’Occitane shower oil I love as part of the sale but also find it in eco friendly packaging. I tried to go eco with my hair products but you just can’t beat Olaplex (or this price). This lipstick was discovered during the era of Zoom – fabulous and a must get! Lastly, somehow my deodorant failed to make the graphic but this is a must buy every year (and it lasts me the whole year). #BeautyRestock
For the Boys
I have no doubt I am not done shopping the sale. I will find other pieces that catch my eye as I browse in store and watch Instagram hauls and some of these pieces I won’t love. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with the ins and the outs of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Cart.
