There is a new shoe trend on the horizon and it’s just in time for Spring. I’m calling it Shoewelry.
What is “Shoewelry” you ask? It’s jewelry for your shoes. This is not a totally new trend. Classics like the Gucci Horsebit, Ferragamo Gancio, Manolo Blanik Hangisi or Tory Burch Emblem have been around for years and coveted for their adornment. #COVETED
Lately, though, shoes are getting even bolder in their accessories. Chunky chains and jewels and all sorts of eye catching adornment are starting to pop up everywhere, especially as we move into sandal season. So what has caught my eye? These are the shoewelry shoes I’m adding to my cart …
Michael Kors Bergen Curb Chain Slide Sandal
In two lovely shades of neutral and a black I can see these going on lots of summer outings. Goodbye white Birkenstocks that I wore everyday last summer … hello pretties. #UPSBound
Coach Waverly Pointy Toe Pump
I have these in bright tulip – the metallic detail around the pump looks like a dainty beaded necklace – and they are a subtle way to take the trend to the office. #9to5trend
Jeffrey Campbell Geraldine Flat
One of my favorite brands has managed to create a flat that looks a little Fendi with the mesh and a little Dior with the rose gold chain. #WinningCombination
Vince Camuto Sereney Chain Strap Sandal
Another summer sandal that checks so many trend boxes. Snake. Gladiator (also making a return in trends). And adorned with a bold chunky chain in place of a t-strap. #ChainMeUp
An interlocking chain motif puts a suave spin on this sleek and shimmery stiletto sandal (in three color choices). I see these making many wedding appearances. #StatementShoes
Another head turning sandal that can pair with absolutely anything. #NoReally
COACH Heather Slingback Sandal
Want to cheat? I’ve always been a fan of the clip on shoe accessories. They are an inexpensive way to upgrade a shoe and add a little special something. I have this set but I’ve had my eye on the lions above or these bumblebee ones. So many options.
