It’s been awhile since a did a travel post but since I made this trip with basically only one pair of shoes I thought it deserved some kudos.  Last week I spent three days in Dayton, Ohio for work and while I used my typical capsule wardrobe strategy for packing … this trip I managed to do this with basically one pair of shoes!  #BootsActually

Since I consider that such an epic win I feel the need to share with you what I wore for my trip!

Three Days in Dayton

The colors for this trip were very fall – oranges, maroons and navy were the mainstay – all meant to highlight the booties.  Every single one of the pieces are older but I did try to find a few equivalent pieces to recreate the looks.

Houndstooth Scarf | Stripe Sweater | Navy Blazer | Knit Sweater & Skirt | Maroon Sweater

Wool Coat | Denim | Booties | Belt (Under $60 alternative)| Leopard Scarf

Holiday Style

I will admit to having another pair of shoes in my bag.  One evening I had to go to a Holiday party and so I brought party appropriate clothes for a quick after work change.  My velvet pants and shoes that come out every Holiday season (both very old and from LOFT) and this gorgeous tartan blazer with gold highlights and a velvet collar – it is so old that last time I saw another one for sale it was on Etsy.  #TrueStory

Get even more outfit ideas for a few of these pieces as many of them were highlighted in another cold weather trip (Michigan) as well as a trip to San Francisco.

Happy Thursday!!
