The Spring season seems to be about having fun with your footwear.  Feathers, crystals, lucite and seashells: Spring 2019’s biggest shoe trends are anything but basic.  I typically wait until March to do my Spring Shoe Trends round-up but since I’ve been dreaming of warm weather for days I’m thinking it is never too early.  Consider it a spark of inspiration as you start to think ahead to your spring wardrobe.  #HappyFeet

This cold weather cheer-up showcases the 10 Spring Shoe trends I think can be pulled off in the office.  I have showcased both the runway verison and a real-world version (many of which you can wear now)! #WinterWin

BUCKLES

You may have already noticed that buckles are big right now!  Strapping is no longer functional or solo!  Biker boots with buckled leather add an immediate rock-chick vibe and I am absolutely on board.  If you saw last weeks Friday Favorites then you already know I’ve added these Jeffrey Campbell beauties to my collection.  For the office, I am thinking a really cool updated Mary Jane (something similar to this Mochino Pump).  And these triple buckle bootie are also very cool.  I would wear both of them now with a black knit dress!!

UNDER THE SEA

Fishnets, shells, and sea creatures of all kinds adorn all sorts of shoes.  These star-fished draped Michael Kors beauties can absolutely go to the office but their price tag is hefty.  Look for plenty of lower priced imitations to make appearances in the coming months.  Pair them with a contrasting dress to let the shoes be the statement they are.

STATEMENT PRINTS

Statement prints of all kinds graced the runway feet. Printed shoes, whether they be boots, mules, or pumps, scream Spring—more fun and more color.  No one does trend like Gucci and I’m in mad love with these Mary Janes but here here is a classic floral pump at a much more budget friendly price.  I would pair either with a sheath in a subtle blush color.  #PrintPersonality

LIVING CORAL and ORANGE

Last season it was lavender, and this season it is orange.  Technically the color of the year is Living Coral but we are seeing a variety of similar hues from orange to pink. This color is one to own come spring. I am very excited to add this warm hue to my collection.  Marc Fisher Zala and the Sam Edelman Hazel are time honored classics but I am drawn to the patent Calvin Klein one shown below.  Charles David also had a good classic orange pump for under $100.  Similar to the Gucci above I would pair with a subtle blush sheath and then add a statement necklace to pull everything together.  #PinkAndOrangePerfection

ANKLE SOCKS

While technically not a shoe – this trend still revolves around footwear.  We are in the midst of some sort of major sock moment.  To embrace it now, pair your classic heels with sheer nylons either knee-high or ankle-grazing.  This isn’t one I would try right now (it’s way too cold) but as soon as I ditch my tights I’m giving this trend a try!  #TrendSetter

SPARKLES

One shoe trend I am beyond excited to see persist is crystals. Drip them, fringe them, throw them on an ankle strap—I don’t care.  The more the merrier … make your shoes glisten like a disco ball … although maybe not at the office.  For a more subtle nod to the trend try black crystals on a black pump or just a hint of bling on the strap.  Pair with your classic suit for the perfect unexpected pairing.  #DuoDone

MORE WHITE & SQUARE TOES

The white footwear trend isn’t going anywhere.  White boots are still trending big but to add to the trend – squared toes!  This geometric add-on is futurism at its finest.  Wear a classic pump with a square toe block heel to the office paired with anything.  No seriously.  Anything.  Pumps not your thing?  Opt for this under $100 square toe ballet flat from Jeffrey Campbell.

FEATHERS

Feathers are a new edition to the trend scene and are a fun little add-on that I won’t complain about.  While some shoes are sparing no bird, for the office look for subtle. And while the trend can be found in every color imaginable, for the office keep it classic.  I love this black pump with just a hint of feather on the heel.  Incorporate this trend economically and subtly with these cuties from Forever 21 or splurge on this pair of Malone Soliers.  I would pair them with a pleated midi skirt and fine knit sweater until the temps move upwards.

SEAFOAM GREEN

Another color trending strong for Spring is Seafoam Green.  It is taking every ounce of my will power to not buy these for my collection!  This more reasonably priced pair from Nordstrom also fits the trend with a much smaller bill.  And if you like mules try this pair from Amazon.  For a classic look pair with a navy sheath.  For a bolder look opt for purple or lavender.  #GoBold #BoldIsOnSale
