My Friday Favorites for November 16th, 2018 is the first Friday Favorites where I’m going to introduce one of my Holiday Gift Guides. First up … hostess gifts. Because you always need hostess gifts and you need them long before the end of December. I have a few go to gifts that I keep stocked but I’ve also rounded up a few more personal options depending on the type of event or personality of the hostess. Friday Favorites
One of the things we’ve been trying to be more conscious of in our house is our impact on the environment as individual contributors. When I purchase items from Amazon and Target, I opt to check the box to consolidate shipments (I wish Nordstrom would provide this option). I don’t need 14 individual shipments or the boxes they came in.
During “strawgate” I purchased these reusable straws which we keep in the car for our meal outings. The boys love picking a color for everyone before we go in to dine.
We have also been cleaning the clutter from our house and using “free cycle” and buy-sell-trade groups to minimize the clutter that ends up in the landfill. And I’ve been taking a long hard look at my closet. It started with a clean-out but it didn’t end there. I am really starting to favor brands that care about our earth too. You are already aware of my undying love of Rothy’s but Everlane is another company that manufactures with an awareness of their impact. #EveryLittleBit
Everlane recently released their ReNew line with outerwear created from recycled water bottles. I’m a fan. I ordered the puffer for myself (I ordered a Small and need to size up to a Medium).
I also ordered the fleece jacket; made entirely entirely from renewed plastic bottles. 41 to be exact. #SoCool
The fleece jacket was supposed to be a gift for my husband but, well, it fits me?!? He is going to need a size up. #MineNow
Based on the two pieces I purchased my recommendation would be to size up for both Men and Women.

Ted Baker – 25% off select items. Pre-season Ted sales are a rare thing to come buy so it’s a good opportunity to snatch up that special piece now at a good price. The three pieces I added to my cart: Pleated Cardigan, Jacket and Shirt (also comes in a floral burgundy). I tried this shirt on in Las Vegas and it was total love.
