Target is at it again.  After the popular release last spring of the ‘A New Day‘ line (see my review here) – they have created another winning line for this spring.  This one is called Universal Thread.  The focus seems more casual that what I typically wear to work but there are still some good finds to be considered.  I focused on the shoes, although I did pick out a few of the clothing pieces.  BONUS!!!  Everything linked today is under $35 dollars so those that are still recovering from January sales and the Holidays can still have some fun!  I created a look for each of my shoe picks so you could see how I would style them.  For the clothing picks … most of them are from the ‘A New Day‘ collection.

Wenda Cutout

I’ve had my eye on the pricier version of these but given the fact I would only wear them occasionally I wasn’t ready to make the investment.  However, I will invest $33 dollars in this one.  It also comes in an ivory color which I just purchased.  I went down a half size but other reviewers have said fits TTS.  I think it depends on how wide your feet are. #SoWorthIt

With trendier shoes I like to keep things classic, slim black ankle pants and a crisp white button down.  For weekend casual, switch to this $8 T-shirt.

Autumn Braided Cut Out Boot

This boot probably feels familiar … anyone say Lucky Brand?  There are a few more details on this shoe but it has a VERY similar vibe.  Very comfortable and walk able with the lower block heel.  These remind me very much of my recent Jeffrey Campbell purchase.  These would be great with denim and maxi dresses.  I also needed a half size smaller in this shoe.

Pair these with cute denim and a loose button down (add this jacket for some warmth and extra style).  Want dressier?  Go for this maxi dress paired with the same jacket.

Everly Round Toe Ballet Flat

I’ve noted before I’m not a huge fan of round ballet flats without additional adornment.  I blame Tory Burch, and Ted Baker and J.Crew … okay, its a long list.  But these $13 cuties look way richer than that and the neutral color will pair with anything.  These are perfect for those long commutes or days when your feet just need a rest.  Also available in black.  #PickCognac  I needed a half size smaller in these.

Go casual with these comfortable tie pants and striped shirt, add this cropped cardigan and you have a perfect travel day outfit.

Edwina Fashion Boots

The Edwina Fashion Boot is pretty much an exact replica of the Vince Camuto version but with a bargain $35 price tag.  It was sturdy and stable (thank you block heel) but I needed to size down in this one.  I also found the stiff upper uncomfortable.  I’m sure that is something that would break in though.

Pair with a sleek pencil skirt and patterned blouse, add a cardigan for cool offices and transitional days.

Jena Espadrille Lace Up Sneakers

I was lucky that I was shopping the new collection just before our trip to Florida (otherwise browsing summer shoes in the midst of January is just wishful thinking).  These were just too cute to ignore and would have been in my suitcase for a mere $20 but I needed to try the next size down.  They only come in full sizes and the 9 was way too big!  The 8 is in my cart.

Make a sheath dress multitask for a trip to the museum or brunch with the girls.  Add a cute cardigan for warmth and extra coverage.

Matti Heeled Buckle Quarter Strap Sandal

Very similar to my Hinge sandals or these Hinge sandals (both currently on sale) but even less expensive ($30).  These sandals fit and feel great.  I am not keeping them because they are so similar to my beloved Hinges but if I didn’t have those they would absolutely be staying.  This is the only shoe I tried that I did not need to size down in. Also available in Black.  #PickOlive

Pair these with a gorgeous Velvet pleated skirt and matching cardigan.  I would keep the top simple and wear an an ivory tank.

I only picked a few items from the Universal Threads collection.  There is so much more, especially if you are looking for casual!  You can shop the full collection here!  You can also check out my good friend Haute Navy as she was creating quite the stir on Instagram over the weekend with her flat lays and Universal Thread finds.

Happy Sunday Shopping!
