Yeah! It’s Shoesday! This week’s Shoesday is a review! I’ve heard lots of feedback from folks who want more arch support … well I found your shoe! Betabrand – maker of the infamous yoga pants for work is now making shoes! I will admit that I have yet to take the plunge on their pants but I did jump in on the shoes … want to know if they warrant the same hype? Read on!
About Betabrand
An entertaining side story – I actually visited their manufacturing facility on my last trip to San Francisco. My coworker was on a mission to find yoga pants for work. I was more intrigued by the inner workings of the operation than the small selection of clothes. It was fascinating to see their process in action. Betabrand is an online clothing community whose claim to fame is they design, manufacture, and release new products nonstop.

It’s a fascinating concept that seems to be working. One of their more recent additions is a line of shoes designed to complement your favorite Dress Pant Yoga Pants. The line includes a several options, none of which I would considered ordinary dress shoes. The Dress Shoe Yoga Shoe Collection is:

They are fully lined with soft sock like memory foam for a perfect fit, they also feature athletic-inspired stabilizing inserts, flexible rubber outsoles for superior traction, and extra padding for superior comfort. These shoes are no joke! Okay, enough of the technical … let’s get to the good stuff … the shoes.

There are several different styles in the line … ballet flats, lower block heels, traditional pumps and Mary Janes. Each style comes in several different colors with black always an option.
This was my pick! I have soft spot for Mary Janes and I loved the bright burgundy color.
This was my second choice shoe! The differing patterns, the red details … a scratch resistant 2″ heel! Does it get anymore perfectly practical?
The classic ballet flat with all the same arch support. Also comes in a cool sapphire color.
The classic Pump in a not so classic perfect for Fall color. Yes!!
Betabrand Review
They arrived lightning quick in a fun patterned shipping bag and a sustainable box. And I, of course, opened them immediately! GORGEOUS! They are brighter than pictured on the Betabrand site. I would say my pictures are more representative of the actual color. The shoes fit true to size (I ordered my normal size nine) and they are super comfortable. The arch support is noticeable (and appreciated). The fabric is very unique and seems durable and easy to care for. I can see these absorbing their mileage well.
