For the final post in this collaboration, I thought I would provide you with a little more insight into how it started … it started with … shoes #ShockingIKnow
I had already asked Erinn to think about doing this … then she saw these shoes on Instagram and said, “I have the perfect necklace for those shoes!” And so started this wonderful collaboration.
Collaboration Success
Erinn is a problem solver. She loves solving style dilemmas and I have given her ample opportunity to test this finely tuned skill. Sometimes I sent her one piece, other times I sent her the outfit (or pieces of it), a few times it was just a concept discussion. And more than once I changed pieces on her. #Indecisive
Didn’t matter. Erinn wasn’t phased once. She loves this! Her goal was just to ensure a relaxed and fun style experience and she did this whether is was via email, Instagram links, accidental Face time sessions or in-person style sessions. (My Five year old has now met his third Mrs. Erin … and my husband now clarifies … Erin Erin – the original? Ragnar Erin? Jewelry Erinn?) #TooManyErinsInMyLife #NotReally
For today’s look … the Sheath Dress … everything goes full circle back to the shoes and necklace that started it all. We knew we wanted to use this necklace. But it needed an outfit that could stand up to its beauty and still allow it to shine. #sheathdresssuccess.
The Sheath Dress with Nordstrom and Stella & Dot
A sheath dress is a work staple. It’s like THE uniform for 9 – 5 dressing. If you saw my first roundup with all the dress loveliness from the Nordstrom sale then you fully appreciate this challenge. There were so many beautiful options. I really thought finding the perfect dress for this necklace was going to take some work! Boy was I was wrong! After ordering all the dresses I fell in love I just had to hope the perfect dress was one of those favorites. #FewEqualsSIX #OrMaybeSEVEN #LostCount
When this dress I arrived, I immediately put in on with the necklace, took horrible bedroom mirror selfies and did an impromptu flat lay. I then sent everything to Erinn for confirmation that we had a match made in heaven. #Perfection. The simple earrings and gorgeous ring she added were simply icing on the cake.
Unfortunately, the shoes that were the original inspiration were too much. The color was a perfect match but the shoes needed to disappear. They could be interesting … but they shouldn’t distract. Goodbye lovely blue pom-pom. Hello, angular neutral.

Sheath Dresses
The Classiques Entier dress I am wearing keeps flitting in and out of stock but it comes in four colors and fits TTS. I am wearing a size 4. I’ve included a few similar options since accessibility of the original has been highly unreliable.
This Vince Camuto dress is the closest to the original and fully stocked in all sizes.
This Betsey Johnson dress is a slightly deeper blue but the necklace pairs equally well with this color. Here is a quick snap from Erinn’s work outfit today.
Barely There Shoes
Everyone needs a great pair of neutral shoes that simply disappear. One could call them nude but they don’t have to be skin tone. The ones I am wearing are actually a shade of grey and they don’t exactly match my skin tone but they still disappear. That’s the effect you are going for. If you want to have endless legs then opt for a shoe that matches your skin tone. #legsfordays
