I have been drawn to flowers lately. Maybe is the record cold winter (I’m not sure where my mom gets her facts but she swears it’s true). Maybe it’s the fact the silly groundhog said we were going to have six more weeks of winter (46% accuracy makes him a true weather man in my book – please let him be wrong). Or maybe it is because in Northern Virginia, February is when we always get hit with a whopper of a snow storm. Whatever, the draw – my garden is with me – I had greens popping up in January. Let’s just get through February without freezing … and if a little floral pattern helps then so be it.
Strolling through Target the other day (I won’t admit I was there to buy shampoo and toothpaste which is no where near the Women’s clothes), I stumbled over this beautiful jacket.
Merona Floral Bomber
It reminds me a little of the sold out LOFT sweater I posted a few weeks back. Floral is a big trend right now and I think it is only going to get bigger as spring approaches. Of course the jacket had to join the shampoo and toothpaste in the cart to come home. I wore it to work with a crisp white button down, styled with a pink tweed skirt and hoped it would inspire sunshine and warmth.
