I like red boots. I could really just stop there and leave this whole post at that, but I won’t. Those beautiful boots you see above, I purchased from Zara more than a few years ago and they are still going strong. I wear them all the time – dressed up and casual.
While I often wear them with black and white …
I also love them with leopard
and of course, denim and a fun print …
This year mine have been getting even more wear finishing off my cropped pants (find more on that discussion here).
So now that you’ve seen how I wear them … here are three easy to create looks for you to dip your toes into the red boots trend. #WearRed
Black & White
You saw my look above but the classic paring of black, white and red can take on so many different looks …
I’m drawn to the ones that are color-blocked but all of these looks are easy to recreate with pieces already in your closet (or perhaps pieces that should be in your closet). Think white button downs, black pants and the perfect little red boot. #ClosetStaples
When I thought about prints I was originally thinking plaids or polka dots, but a little stripe which highlights the red looks amazing, and I can’t stop looking at the floral head-turner in the middle. #turnheads
I’m thinking red boots would pair beautifully with this plaid blazer or these plaid pants. #PickPlaid
Monotone
Choosing one color (or family of colors) really lets the shoes shine. This is a way I have not worn my boots and I was going to recreate this look for myself using Navy – and I will probably still do so – but after seeing some of the street style inspiration I’m digging out my camel pants and going all in on neutrals. #BrownIsBig
Shop Red Boots
I’ve been eyeing these cuties as a replacement for my zara boots (their heels are getting pretty chewed up from too many sidewalk cracks and my cobbler can only do so much). I am so bummed I somehow missed out on the size 9’s. If your feet are smaller though they are fully stocked. #StockUp
Here are tons of other great options:
