Welcome to the end of the week!! And I just looked at my calendar for the weekend and there is NOTHING on it. I’m sure it lies – but for now I’m dreaming about what I think is going to be a VERY relaxing weekend. #DontBurstMyBubble This edition of Friday Favorites you get the last book I read (it’s a tear jerker), a round up of this weeks outfits (per reader request), the sunscreen I’ve currently LOVING and a weekend sales round up! Talk about a great start to a great weekend! #HappyFridayForSure
My Latest Read
Sometimes you just need a book that makes you cry. The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah will willing provide. It was mostly the last 100 pages or so but there were a few other tear worthy pages. I might call it the happiest / saddest book I’ve ever read. It’s a book about love … in many forms … good and bad. A mother’s love, a friend’s love, a family’s love, romantic love, and dysfunctional love. One romance is love at its best: patient, enduring, and indelible. For all its painful moments, this tale is unforgettably uplifting. And it is set in Alaska so the scenic montage is breathtaking. It is definitely worth the read (if you don’t mind shedding a few tears). But now I could do with some recommendations on books that will make me laugh out loud because I’m currently all cried out. #EmotionallySpent
What I Wore This Week
I’ve had several request for more #OOTD posts on social media. I’ve been trying to sprinkle them into stories (I don’t always have time for a feed-worthy glamour shot) but I am also going to try adding my weeks worth of looks to my Friday Favorites post. I will give it a few weeks to see how it goes. Drop me a comment or note and let me know if you want me to keep adding them here or if you don’t mind finding them in stories. #ReadersRespond
Since my closet clean-out I’ve been shopping my closet more so many of my pieces are older. When available, I linked the exact option, or the current version and lastly something similar. Otherwise I just listed what I was wearing in case you want to go hunting in the pre-loved market. As always, you can drop me a note if you want more details or similar options for anything! This week was definitely a black and white week but Monday was inspired by the camel and purple mix in Tuesday’s Shoesday post.
