It’s time for the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale. Doesn’t it feel just like yesterday that we were talking Anniversary Sale? #Truth
In our house the packages are all opened and everyone is currently in the midst of enjoying them. While they are all distracted by their new fabulousness, it’s the perfect time to gift yourself something from your list that wasn’t under the tree. I like to use this sale to revamp my coat collection, score a statement piece I’ve had my eye on and find Winter to Spring transition pieces at a major discount. So far I’ve only managed to shop the Jacket and Coats and a few other random price matched items. I will plow through Dresses, Top and Bottoms tomorrow. #IPromise
My Purchases
First up, what I filled my cart with (that is still in stock – hurry, things are disappearing fast). I found a few bargain blazers (I love the TopShop ones), as well as a few staples (turtlenecks). I purchased the wool coat in a lovely yellow color that is now sold out but the grey and navy are also great. And, of course, shoes. I’ve had my eye on those booties for awhile and I’ve been looking for a cool casual loafer. And the brown ones just looked fun!

In My Closet
These next two paragraphs cover pieces in my closet (or similar) that are now on major sale. I have had a S13 parka for a few years now (also on sale) and I wear it all the time when it’s cold. I love the color of this Sam Edelman version even more. The green leopard cuff one reminds me of a tamer version of my leopard and tweed mix. I bought this All Saints Moto as a gift to myself … mine is black but I really love the Brick Red too!! I have the market version of the J.Crew field coat but I’m thinking I may get this one too – such a great transition piece when the weather finally warms!

These are Blazers I’ve been wearing all season long that you can now replicate at nearly half the price. If you don’t have a double breasted blazer or a simple black jacket now is a good time to get one. My Hot Pink Argent Blazer has been a show stopper and my Houndstooth blazer has been worn on repeat all Fall long (see it multiple times here).

I’ve been wanting a long line velvet Blazer all season and I love the color of this one. This yellow, denim trench has all my heart eyes. There is only one left … can someone please buy it so I don’t. Lastly, All Saints always has my heart with their clean lines and gorgeous fabrics.

I love statement coats and this is a great time of year to score one at a good price. Look for classic pieces that you can wear year after year rather than something trendy. Get these in time for New Year’s and you will have a few occasions to wear them still this season. #ValentinesToo
