Hostess Gifts Holiday Gift Guide

We are in full Holiday mode in our house and I have been shopping like crazy.  I’ve covered the Gifts for Him and Gifts for Her but his guide is all about the Host or Hostess.  Hostess gifts are a necessary need for the Holidays.  Between Thanksgiving and New Years I easily plow through a handful of these as we move from parties to dinners and back again.  I always try and keep a few on hand for emergencies and I head to Trader’s Joe’s and Willliams Sonoma to stock up on Olive Oil Sets, Soap Sets and Peppermint Bark (these also make great stocking stuffers in the individual sizes).  #StuffStockings

But if I have more time, I like to try and personalize the gifts and get something unique for the house or individual.  The following is a sampling of fun and different Hostess gifts that I have either used or have my eye on using this year.  The prices range from $7.00 – $78.00 with most of the items under $25 (on par with a good bottle of wine).  #BeUnique

Hostess Gifts Holiday Gift Guide

Fish Tawashi Srubbers $14.00 (currently 30% off) – I am not going to lie, I would totally do the dishes more if my scrubbers looked like these cute fish (hopefully my husband doesn’t read this and put them in my stocking).  #Busted

Diamond Geometric Table Glass Terrarium

Glass Terrarium $23.99 – Wayfair had tons of these to choose from at several different price points.  Simply add a succulent for a unique gift for a hostess with a green thumb (and an sun-filled house).  #LoveThis

Reusable Cocktail Napkins $40 (set of four) – All of my gift guides this year have a nod to the environment.  We’ve been trying to be more environmentally aware in our house and one of the ways we do this is with reusable napkins.   Why not pick reusable for a cocktail party too!!  #GoGreen

Lionette by Noa Sade Agate Cheese Board $78 (but currently 30% off) – While this will be outside of most peoples budget for a hostess gift … but I have given gifts jointly with other couples in order to get something more significant that we know our hostess would love.  This is one of those ideas.  There is also matching Agate Cheese Markers.   #GoBig

Zalik Wine Decanter 24.99 – I deplore the leave-the-bottle-on-the-table-during-fancy-dinners method of serving wine.  It takes very little effort to decant wine!  The Zalik ones on Amazon are uniquely shaped and make perfect serving vessels for a great bottle of wine. #DontBeLazy

Cocktail Napkins $7.00 – Add a great bottle of wine or create a bundle with a few different napkins together.  Cocktail napkins never go unused during parties and it allows you to add an element of personal to the over done bottle of wine. #PickPersonality

Box Of Chocolate Soaps –  Handmade soaps are one of the gifts I keep on standby as emergency gifts.  They don’t go bad and who can’t use soap.  It’s similar to the candle idea but since I have so many friends still with little ones – and fire and four-year olds generally don’t mix – soap is much safer.  #SafetyFirst

Godinger Copper Pineapple Cocktail Shaker $60 – I picked this pineapple because of the whimsy and the symbolism but you could find shakers is almost any shape (and price point).  When I originally wrote this guide (on Sunday) this shaker was on sale for $20.99!!  #FingersCrossed

McClary Bros. Vinegars $21.00 for 3 7-ounce bottles – I love unique spices, oils and other food gifts.  These are handcrafted for cocktails and cooking. They use old-fashioned cold-steep preservation techniques which provides rich, complex flavor profiles.  Create your own custom package of unique flavors!  #ForTheFoodie

Bourbon Infused Coffee Beans $25.95  – Um, yes please.  Do I really need to explain more? Or Uncommon Goods has Merlot Infused Coffee Beans for $20.  #AlsoYesPlease

Painted Poppies Coaster $5.95 each – These are too fun, especially if you know your host needs to upgrade their coaster game.  #NoRings

Whimsical Cocktail Napkins $7.00 – The same as the napkins above but a little more sassy. Add a bottle of Bourbon or create a bundle with a few different napkins together.  I guarantee these will be the talk of the party!! #Bragging

Wine Glass Writer Set 8.99 (set of 8)  – Add these to a great bottle of wine or gift on their own. Sur La Table also had a Holiday Themed Set.  Because there is nothing more annoying that have Uncle Joe finish your glass of wine for you.  #ProblemSolved

If you are going somewhere with families think about a gift the whole family can enjoy.  We’ve been given “Pasta Night” kits.  These include uniquely shaped pasta, sauce, and fancy Parmesan cheese all wrapped up cutely in a colander.  You could also gift a movie and microwaveable popcorn. Or lastly a fun game the whole family can play – I just bought this popular game for that exact purpose!!  #GameNight
