I have been hunting for a good cream sweater for a year. ONE YEAR. It’s a hard thing to come by apparently. Or maybe I really am just that picky. I picked this one up during the last Ann Taylor sale and I’ve been wearing it on repeat so I think I finally found the winner. It also comes in Burgundy and Black but I’ve been loving this warm winter white as the perfect transition and layering piece. I was originally going to create five looks for you but I went a little crazy so you get one cream sweater, endless possibilities. #YesEndless #EndlessEndsAtTwelve

You can never go wrong with a pencil skirt for work. I love both it paired with faux black leather or leopard as they both add a little edge to the sweater. I paired both looks with white booties but if white booties aren’t your thing black booties work equally well with either look. And when the weather turns even colder you can add black tights. #WillHappenSoon

A Tweed A-line skirt is a good alternative to the classic pencil. This gives more of a nod to the classic vibe of the sweater (until you add the mod booties for a little twist). Again, if white booties aren’t your thing my Stuart Weitzman OTK boots (or similar here or here) worked just as well.

One of the things I love about this sweater is it’s ability to layer. If I need to add a jacket I can. This look is a nod to one of my favorite fashionistas (@legal.fashion.nomad) and her ability to wear all white everything! So close. Cream sweater, cream colored pants, cream boots … and then I added the jacket. My Veronica Beard jacket is from the Spring Collection but here is the Fall version and Theory has one for also that is as gorgeous. Again, if you can’t embrace the trendy bootie then I would finish this look with classic nude pumps.

Cream Sweater for Play
All the looks for play involve various iterations of denim. These looks will work for more business casual office environments, casual Fridays and definitely weekends. Keeping the blazer, but changing out the skirt or pants for denim still keeps the look professional but now I can spill coffee without crying. Choose burgundy or a light wash depending on your mood. Again, if white booties aren’t for you then I would pair with taupe booties or even white sneakers depending on your agenda for the day.

I wore these plaid pants last week with a Navy Sweater but I’ve loving them with the cream sweater even more. I really love this look with the booties but if you still can’t then opt for Navy pointed flats. #GiveThemATry

Cream Sweater for the Holidays
This color of sweater seems somehow more luxurious than other colors and I find them fabulous for the holidays. Up your glam factor by pairing it with a little glitter or faux fur and consider Thanksgiving dinner attire done. I love the blush and burgundy combo and adding shoes that involve glitter just makes my heart beat faster. (These booties are also available as a mule or flat). If the belt feels too 80’s for you then opt for a scarf to pull the pink color from the shoes. #EightiesAreBack

You could also wear a coordinating blazer with the booties for a little more formal yet still fun look.

The whole reason I began my search for a cream sweater was to wear underneath this faux fur vest. Mission accomplished. This is again a nod to the all white look without fully committing. #ItWillHappen Taupe booties would also work for this look.
