If you’ve been following me for any amount of time then you know I’m a die hard Nordies girl. But I do love a good boutique brand for the unique pieces that no one else has. I try not to operate fully mainstream. #AlwaysBeUnique One of those boutique brands that I love is Veronica Beard. They are becoming more mainstream because you can now find them at Nordstrom … but not the full Fall Collection. (They have a good collection though – including the Blazer I scored during the Anniversary Sale).
I hesitate to share because I want them all to myself … but they are simply too awesome not to! I love their style. Their pieces find a balance between classic and new that makes each piece just a little more interesting than average. They’ve been around since 2010 but I’ve only discovered them in the last year or two. This year’s Fall Collection is the perfect mix of work and play which fits perfectly with how I like to shop.
The Baby Boot
I have a confession to make. I am over skinny jeans. DONE. (Until I dig out my OTK boots and need something to wear with them besides leggings.) But until then I’m really, totally DONE. Lately I’ve been wearing lots of high waist, cropped versions of denim on the weekends and loving it! Let’s put that compression where I really need it. #OneHint #NotMyLegs I recently purchased these jeans from the Veronica Beard Fall Collection and I’m even more in love with the trend.
Carolyn 10″ Baby Boot – I have been obsessed with jeans with a red stripe since last Spring. I tried a Mother Denim pair but couldn’t make them fit (or maybe I couldn’t find my size). I even bought red ribbon and begged my tailor (and maybe a few other tailors) to fabricate a pair for me. #NoLuck And then I found these. #SearchOver They fit TTS, but if you don’t like your jeans super fitted then I might recommend sizing up.
Me in the Baby Boot
When I wore them to dinner the other night, people in the street stopped me to compliment them. #FivePeopleStoppedMe I only had them on for a few hours. That’s a lot of love in a short amount of time. #FIVEpeople
Veronica Beard Fall Collection Workwear Picks
Jeans aside, I’m drooling over so many pieces from the collection for work! My shopping cart is full. My budget is not (thanks Anniversary Sale). There will be an addition to my collection sooner rather than later but until then these are the five six seven work wear pieces I’m obsessing over. Starting with my biggest love. #ThisDress
Beau Midi Dress – I had to include two pictures because I am that obsessed with this dress. The color is gorgeous. The tailoring impeccable. So many ways to style this simple dress. It also comes in black if you aren’t a green person. #WhoIsntAGreenPerson
And don’t even get me started on the shoes…
Audrey Turtleneck – This is probably the most practical piece of the bunch. Wear this by itself, pair with jackets, under dresses or cardigans. The options are endless and you can never go wrong with stripes or navy (or both). #GoWithBoth
Tate Dickey Jacket – The details on their jackets are never left aside but this one gets me with the navy trim and the beautiful rose color (it also comes in an oatmeal color that is equally tempting). I have a Navy pleated midi skirt that is just screaming for this blazer. #LiterallyScreaming
Hayden Top – The perfect little flower print on a perfect little shirt. I love all the subtle details from the piping to the pleats. Pairs easily with denim as you can see but I’m thinking midi pencil skirt and sleek black booties. #GirlyButEdgy
Wren Shirt Dress – Another fabulous dress. The twist of the buttons and the tie at the waist provide just enough interest to make this dress stand out. I do have some concerns with how those features will work with a jacket but if that isn’t required then this beauty is a winner.
Leigh Button Dress – Another dress with perfect details. I have two very similar dresses which is the only reason this one is at the bottom of the list. Wear now as is and then pair with tights and the stripe shirt above for cooler temps.
See the full fall collection here. There are lots more drool worthy pieces I promise.
Happy Shopping!!
