For the final post in this collaboration, I thought I would provide you with a little more insight into how it started … it started with … shoes #ShockingIKnow

I had already asked Erinn to think about doing this … then she saw these shoes on Instagram and said, “I have the perfect necklace for those shoes!”  And so started this wonderful collaboration.

Collaboration Success

Erinn is a problem solver.  She loves solving style dilemmas and I have given her ample opportunity to test this finely tuned skill.  Sometimes I sent her one piece, other times I sent her the outfit (or pieces of it), a few times it was just a concept discussion.  And more than once I changed pieces on her. #Indecisive

Didn’t matter.  Erinn wasn’t phased once. She loves this!  Her goal was just to ensure a relaxed and fun style experience and she did this whether is was via email, Instagram links, accidental Face time sessions or in-person style sessions.  (My Five year old has now met his third Mrs. Erin … and my husband now clarifies … Erin Erin – the original? Ragnar Erin? Jewelry Erinn?)  #TooManyErinsInMyLife #NotReally

For today’s look … the Sheath Dress … everything goes full circle back to the shoes and necklace that started it all.  We knew we wanted to use this necklace. But it needed an outfit that could stand up to its beauty and still allow it to shine.  #sheathdresssuccess.

The Sheath Dress with Nordstrom and Stella & Dot

A sheath dress is a work staple.  It’s like THE uniform for 9 – 5 dressing.  If you saw my first roundup with all the dress loveliness from the Nordstrom sale then you fully appreciate this challenge.  There were so many beautiful options.  I really thought finding the perfect dress for this necklace was going to take some work! Boy was I was wrong!  After ordering all the dresses I fell in love I just had to hope the perfect dress was one of those favorites. #FewEqualsSIX #OrMaybeSEVEN #LostCount

When this dress I arrived, I immediately put in on with the necklace, took horrible bedroom mirror selfies and did an impromptu flat lay.  I then sent everything to Erinn for confirmation that we had a match made in heaven.  #Perfection.  The simple earrings and gorgeous ring she added were simply icing on the cake.

Unfortunately, the shoes that were the original inspiration were too much.  The color was a perfect match but the shoes needed to disappear.  They could be interesting … but they shouldn’t distract.  Goodbye lovely blue pom-pom.  Hello, angular neutral.

Sheath Dresses

Classiques Entier® Italian Ponte Knit Sheath Dress

The Classiques Entier dress I am wearing keeps flitting in and out of stock but it comes in four colors and fits TTS.  I am wearing a size 4.  I’ve included a few similar options since accessibility of the original has been highly unreliable.

Vince Camuto High Neck Sheath Dress

This Vince Camuto dress is the closest to the original and fully stocked in all sizes.

Betsey Johnson Ruched Ponte Sheath Dress (Online Only)

This Betsey Johnson dress is a slightly deeper blue but the necklace pairs equally well with this color. Here is a quick snap from Erinn’s work outfit today.

Tahari Stretch Sheath Dress (Regular & Petite)
If you need sleeves this Tahari sheath is perfect.  A similar shade of blue as the sleeveless version I am wearing and I love the faux belt accent.
Ellen Tracy Ponte Sheath Dress (Regular & Petite)
This one also has sleeves and the gorgeous waist accent make this Ellen Tracy dress a standout dress even if you don’t add the statement necklace. #AddTheNecklace
Adrianna Papell Crepe Midi Dress
Try a slightly deeper hue with this Adrianna Papel Dress.  The drape in the front could hide or augment a stomach depending on how this lays. #HideIsGood

Barely There Shoes

Everyone needs a great pair of neutral shoes that simply disappear.  One could call them nude but they don’t have to be skin tone.  The ones I am wearing are actually a shade of grey and they don’t exactly match my skin tone but they still disappear.  That’s the effect you are going for.  If you want to have endless legs then opt for a shoe that matches your skin tone.  #legsfordays

I’ve highlighted this Vince Camuto pump several times.  The fit is almost TTS  (I did find it loose enough that I needed to add an insert) but going down a half size was too much.  Insider Tip:  The Nordstorm shoe department has all sorts of inserts they will give you …FREE!
This classic pump is less than $65.  Chales David is a reliable brand for work wear staples and their nude is very wearable for several different skin tones.
Sam Edelman never disappoints.  I love the little ankle strap on this pump as an added detail.  Available in several colors including this darker shade of nude.
I highlighted this Louise et Cie pump in my Dressing Room Diaries.  It’s a beauty with a rounded toe and block heel.  Very comfortable and fits TTS.
Kudos to Eileen Fisher for making a D’Orsay heel that I can’t stop wearing!  This one it is so comfortable.  I purchased this in grey and you can see the pictures here.
A combination of the Sam Edelman and the Eileen Fisher heels.   I love the details on this Paul Green pump.

Not the End of Erinn

This post concludes the Anniversary Sale collaboration with Stella & Dot but you haven’t seen the last of Erinn.  I’m thinking Holiday parties will be a good time for her to find us some killer statement pieces.  I will certainly be keeping an eye on all the Stella & Dot goodness and I’ve already planned my next style session at her house … with wine … and friends.  #LotsofFriends
After all, what’s better than shopping with friends, having some wine, and not having to fight traffic to do it?! #NothingBetter
Happy Shopping!!
