Bargain week continues with Gingham Under $30. Gingham is huge right now. You will see it everywhere (if you haven’t already). Dresses and tops and shorts and … the list really could go on. While gingham is harder to pull off at the office, unless you include some structure, it is perfect for some of the upcoming Holidays. Think Memorial Day BBQs or 4th of July Picnics. Pair the navy and white gingham with a bright red cami and you are ready for fireworks. #nevertooearly
I’ve had my eye on a few pairs of gingham ankle pants but since I can really only pull them off at work on casual Friday I didn’t want to make a huge investment. I did a roundup of Spring Items in March and loved a pair of Gingham Ankle pants but they were not anywhere close to $30 (you may find some good sales on those items now). I’ve also seen cute Gingham pants at Ann Taylor, Loft or Banana Republic but they were still more than I wanted to spend. And then in one visit to Target, the hunt was over. I found the most adorable pair of ankle pants. I saw them as I was entering the store – they were on display in the window – and I had the whole escalator ride to drool and cross my fingers they were in the store in my size! #shouldhaveboughtalotteryticket #loveatfirstsight

I mentioned you need structure to pull this off in the office – this shell has that. I would add even more structure by pairing this with a pencil skirt (red would be very unexpected and fabulous) but it would also work with a brightly colored pair of ankle pants – I’m thinking pink or green (check back tomorrow for some options would work!) #toomanychoices
