Nothing says Spring like Ankle Pants. Bare ankle skin just screams warm weather is near. We are on the final day of my Spring Roundup. If you’ve seen the first four days (Dresses, Stripes, Pencil Skirts and Floral Prints) then you know your are in for more mix and match pieces to combine with everything you’ve seen so far. For casual Friday we are talking Spring Ankle Pants.
Spring Ankle Pants Selection Criteria
My selection criteria was they had to be items I either already own or would buy. I tried to include a mix of options and I made sure to included petite sizing options too. These are all fun pieces that could mix and match with many of the other items I’ve already showcased this week.
My Top Spring Ankle Pants Picks
Halogen® Crop Stretch Cotton Pants (Regular & Petite) – These pants come in 4 solids and 3 prints and I had a hard time narrowing it to just one. This pop of bright color is perfect for casual Friday’s, travel days or more casual work places every day. Pair with almost anything!!
Veronica Beard Tee High Waisted Seam Trousers – I am loving the gingham trend – kind of. I am skeptical about large gingham prints or an all over body pattern but just a little bit of gingham is perfect – especially with a small check. If these are over budget the Halogen pair above has a gingham print similar. I’m holding out for a red check pencil skirt ala this one (but without that price tag). Pair with florals, stripes or a bright pop of color (pink or red) for contrast.
Rag and Bone Simone Pinstripe Pants – I tried to fight these pants – oh, how I tried. No seriously! I tried less expensive alternatives. It didn’t work. I now own these pants and can’t say enough great things about them. I LOVE them. Worth every penny. Size up if you are between sizes. The style options on these are endless. White, blue, red, yellow, sweater, jacket, button down, tunic … you get the idea. These pants make frequent appearances in blog posts and on my Instagram feed for more style inspiration.
NIC+ZOE The Perfect Ankle Pants (Regular & Petite) – I have these pants in several colors. VERY work appropriate (and not just on a Friday). Well tailored, well made. They change the colors slightly every season but I am loving this neutral blush shade (Sandstone). And I also just realized they come in Midnight…I have a definite weakness for Navy. Pair with any of the floral blouses from Thursday’s post (seriously ANY!)
Socialite Ankle Tie Pant – I have a similar pair of these – in black, without the bows. I like them better with the bows though. Such a comfy pair of pants that also happpens to be dressy. Pair with the Rebecca Taylor Floral Blouse from the Spring Floral Post.
MICHAEL Michael Kors ‘Miranda’ Stretch Ankle Pants (Regular & Petite) – The Bonus pair … not spring specific but if you don’t already have a black pair … these are a wardrobe staple … I wear mine almost weekly.
Spring Summary
This concludes my week long Spring Roundup but the fun isn’t over … I wouldn’t be true to my name if we didn’t also talk about shoes. For the last few days, I’ve been combing the zappos site for the best of the best. Next week I will share with you the few that I have my eye on. Okay, it will probably be more than a few but I will do my best to whittle. (Last count I was at 68.)
