Lapis Blue is one of the more energetic colors of the spring palette. According to Pantone it is meant to convey strength and confidence and is “imbued with an inner radiance”. I will admit I had to look up the word imbued (just in case you didn’t know either – it means inspire or permeate with a feeling or quality). There are definitely days I could use a little boost in confidence and inner strength. I have a few pieces in this color but the statement piece that stands out is a beautiful blazer. When I wear this to a meeting it screams you must pay attention to me (in a nice way). I think this pairs the best with black but you could also include white or cream for an accent color.

Lapis Blue from LOFT
I feel like this color might be a little trendier than some of the other spring colors. A good place to look for trendy pieces that won’t break the bank is LOFT. They have a good selection of wonderful pieces that will easily transition to spring. Here are a few of the ones I found the most wearable. Bonus: If you order in the next two days (Jan 19 – 20) use the code NOEXCUSES for 50% off your entire order!
Shoulder Button Sweater – I love the details with the buttons and the side splits. Pair this with a pencil skirt and killer heels. Stripeout Split Neck Blouse – Wear underneath a suit jacket. A little stripe a little plaid – it’s perfect.
Skinny Ankle Pants in Marisa Fit – A coworker had these on the other day paired with a grey cashmere sweater. Gorgeous.
Ombre Pencil Skirt – The model is spot on. Keep your top simple and understated to let the skirt shine. This is even more gorgeous in person. Springstripe Sweater – A workhorse for transitioning from winter to spring. Wear under a suit jacket or with a pencil skirt for a clean-lined, bright pop of color.
