Baby it’s Cold Outside

This song is stuck in my mind. First, because my child has been listening to Christmas music non-stop (thanks Pandora – I think).  And second, because, well have you been outside?!   Winter came early to Virginia.  It’s been freezing the last couple of days and all I want to do is stay huddled in my bed with the heater on HIGH.  Since that option doesn’t provide a paycheck, however … I bargained that I would go to the office only if I could do so wearing the coziest item I could find in my closet.   For the record, you CAN be cozy and look professional because I did it today.  Out came the softest, warmest sweater you could imagine; then I paired it with a sexy pencil skirt (holy zipper) to make the outfit office worthy.  Take THAT early winter.  Now can we please fast forward to spring.

More Ways to Wear Cozy Sweater

Office attire and COZY are two thoughts rarely paired together but it can work. To make it work, up your game on the sweater by choosing luxury material, intriguing textures and/or a unique design.  Then style with structured leggings, pencil skirts or other similar pieces.  The following are two other outfit ideas using the same sweater.

Bonus:  The first look below actually uses a dress as the base.  The dress will transition easily to spring (see, I am already thinking warm weather – NOW Please!!)
